MUSEO DIOCESANO DE BELLAS ARTES DE CÓRDOBA
The Diocesan Museum of Fine Arts, inaugurated in July 1989, gathers an important sample of what is the artistic patrimony of the Church of Cordoba, that includes from the medieval art to our days.
Located in what was the old site of the Episcopal Palace, in front of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba.
The Episcopal Palace of Cordoba is a building full of history. On the site it occupies today, different buildings have been erected during the different periods of Cordoba's history. The Palace allows us to observe the varieties of cultures that have made their mark on this city, from Cordoba as a patrician colony, through the Visigoth and Islamic periods, and from the reconquest to the present day.
What is unquestionable is that the history of Cordoba is not complete without this building, which is why we offer tourism such a singular whole, which has left its mark on time, and which must not only be preserved but also made known.
